Caitlin Coyner
LCSW-S
(she/her/hers)
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience working with Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, Self Esteem problems, Trauma, Schizophrenia, and other major mental health challenges. I work with clients who are 18 and older, and I have extensive individual and group experience working with that population. I am particularly passionate about working with adults that have depression and anxiety, LGBTQIA+ population, 18 to 25 year-olds, Sexual/Intimacy challenges, people who have experienced Religious Trauma, and people in the Poly/Kink community. My primary types of therapy are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Feminist Theory, and Strengths-Based, although I pull from many areas depending on my client’s needs.
I have many years at a variety of service locations such as non-profits, mental health hospitals, medical hospitals, and private practice.
I was born in Maryland, but have lived in Texas since age 5, so I consider myself a lifelong Texan. I started my early life in the Austin area, then went to Denton (DFW area) to complete an undergraduate degree in Psychology at University of North Texas and then a Master’s of Science in Social Work at University of Texas at Arlington. I'm married with two cats, and love food/cooking, travel, swing dance, gaming, movies, theater, art, and renaissance festivals. I look forward to working with you collaboratively if you select me as your therapist.
