More Info About Me:

Every person's goals and what they need from therapy is different, but my hope is that you will feel seen and heard, at the end of the day. Extra bonuses may be feeling more confident, lighter in your day to day, and more assured of yourself and what you have to offer the world. This is how I try to approach every single client that walks through my door. I will attempt to charm you with my warm, direct, and very human and sarcastic personality, while also delivering solid psychoeducation, evidence-based interventions, a basket full of fidgets, and a good smelling office.

I grew up knowing I had a purpose to help; to be someone I didn’t have, in my darkest of times, for others. So I did just that. I attended the University of North Texas, graduating with a Bachelor's in Psychology and jumping feet first into graduate school, immediately after. Through the University of Texas at Arlington, I obtained a Master's in Social Work, while fulfilling internships within law enforcement and community mental health agencies. After a few years of building up my skills as a therapist, while working at non-profits and mental health hospitals, I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, in the state of Texas, who is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I am actively working towards EMDR Certification, and have been trained in DeTUR and R-TEP protocols!

I enjoy working with individuals 18+ (especially Young Adults) who have a desire to heal and gain strengths from past experiences and traumas. Issues and challenges I have helped clients navigate include Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Complex Trauma, and Substance Use. My overall goal is meet you where you are at and to help you get closer to where you want to be, no matter who you are or where you come from.

I deliver therapy through a trauma informed approach and lens, often engaging clients to explore and unveil the roots and beginnings of their beliefs, habits, and triggers to help target and break down their systems from the foundation they were built on. From there, as a team we will address these things with empathy, validation, and acknowledgment.

As someone who has experienced the healing benefits of EMDR firsthand, it has become my primary form of practice and a powerful way to retrain our brain on how we see our experiences, ourselves, and the world. I will also integrate parts work when applicable or requested.

In my free time, I love to cuddle my miniature poodle and rescue cats, while sipping on a cup of hot tea and watching trashy reality tv or reading a good book. I never turn down a Dr Pepper or the chance to travel.
